Legendary choreographer Bob Fosse once said that there are two types of songs: The ‘I Want’ song and the ‘I Am’ song. Coming as I do from a diet of professional wrestling, I understand the power of a good statement song, and often enjoy the music even when I hate the wrestler *coughtTripleHcough*. All the Disney heroes (and many of the villains) get their own song, and even The Doctor, in his third incarnation, had an awesome declaratory tune to announce his presence in the universe. Heck, if it’s good enough for Ulysses Everett McGee, it’s good enough for me, leading to today’s melodious query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) has a deep love of ‘Man Of Constant Sorrow’, but will go to the mat for Garnet’s power theme, ‘Stronger Than You’, one of the best songs of a series that has great songs from top to bottom, asking: What’s the best example of the ‘I Am’ Song in your favorite pop culture?

NJPW (maybe soon WWE) Shinsuke Nakamura, King Of Strong Style! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6XKFQs87ew Best entrance theme of all time.
Stronger than you from Steven Universe I love that song. Second favorite is Number One Ichigo’s song when things get serious from the anime Bleach.
I know it’s an obvious answer but it’s got to be the Imperial March.
It’s permeated culture to an incredible level.
