With Star Wars: The Force Awakens opening in just over a month, Marvel is hoping to cash in one more time with a free sampler comic to let everyone know there are Star Wars comics still available.
The first issue of Star Wars has sold out and has been reprinted at least eight times since its release, and now the publisher is giving away a 56-page book for comic retailers to get into the hands of fans.
REALY smart comic book retailers will order the crap out of this and make the trek to their local movie theaters and hand these out left and right as millions exit the theater. SUPER smart comic book retailers will also make sure each issue has their store’s address and phone number on it so those millions of people can make their way to the store and buy all the Star Wars back issues. REALLY SUPER smart comic book retailers will figure out a way to work with the movie theater to get even more Star Wars comics at the candy counter so fans can read Chewbacca #1, Lando #1, and Princess Leia #1 while they wait for the coming attractions to roll before The Force Awakens feature.
For the rest of us, who just want free comics, should head to their local comic shop on December 9th.
