With the return of Berkeley Breathed’s Bloom County the question of having a complete collection of the strips instantly sprung to mind. Fortunately, IDW Publishing is 10 steps ahead of everyone, and have plans to collect those strips in 2016.
“It’s hard to say why, but for me, doing Bloom County has suddenly become… what’s the word…fun,” said Berkeley Breathed, “I’d like to think readers can tell. When the strips are brought together in a book, I think you especially can.”
This past summer, Breathed suddenly returned to the world of Bloom County and took it to the web. Many have speculated the strip’s return has to do with the current election, which prompted the last Breathed run during the second Bush administration.
I’m a big fan of the Bloom County series, so I really hope this gets collected in a hard cover collection to add to the previous IDW Publishing offerings already on my shelf.
