Marvel dominated the top ten this month with 70% of the ranked books coming from the House of Ideas. DC… well, 20% is okay I suppose, and it is interesting to see none of the new DCYou books hit the top ten list, but ongoing series, Batman and Justice League were able to rank. Could some of the “Stop Batgirling” rumor circulating on the Intardwebz be a direct result of the lower comic sales?
Then there is Image Comics with The Walking Dead, which continues to sell well in a market still obsessed with the undead and their antics in comics, television, movies, and podcasts.
Now for some negative news… overall comic book and graphic novel sales were done quite a bit from last month, with the number of comics being sold dropping nearly 16%. Fewer comics on the store shelves, means fewer comics being sold, so it comes as no surprise that overall sales dropped 18.24%.
