During the D23 event, the new Drew Struzan poster for Star Wars: The Force Awakens was revealed.
It kind of feels like a Drew Struzan poster, but for some reason something seems off. Certainly seeing Finn with a blue lightsaber is going to get a bunch of people talking. This poster will not appear at any theater, as this was a D23 Expo exclusive, and there are no plans to print these… which may be a good thing.
What do you think of this poster? Is it Struzan enough for you, or does it miss the mark?

Is it done? Why is Han standing by himself?
It seems very unbalanced, like there should be 2 or 3 people at the bottom but that they aren’t there. Spoilers? Will there be another version?
Apprently I have questions about this poster.
I bet the studio thinks Chewie is unimportant, like how he didn’t get a medal in Episode IV even though he was right there alongside the rest of them. Darn speciesists!
I agree. It doen’t look finished. I think there will be other posters though. The tie fighters look like the joker’s Ha Has from The Killing Joke too.

Not just “a” blue lightsaber, that’s Luke’s first one (and Anakin’s old one). Pretty sure we knew he was carrying it around from the costumes revealed at Celebration, but this confirms he will also use it i guess.
Have to agree. Just google search “Star Wars Posters” and compare. This looks like a section of the poster, or part of a series where there should be another two or three posters showing the other players in the movie. In fact, if you take Han Solo out of the poster, it looks more complete. Him being in there, alone, smaller, is what is throwing things off so much. He was placed as an afterthought. Also, the whole poster tilting is throwing me off quite a bit.
I saw it on another site with the logo in the area next to Han and it looked better. But I agree with the above, having everything at an angle throws it off too.
