Finally!!! I’m a big defender of this comic, and everything about it. I mean look at that Double Page Splash. How can you not see that as Awesome?
About 100 things going on in that page, enough to feel an entire issue by itself probably, yet Scioli does it in 2 pages. Not that his Steranko style compression doesn’t have its fautls, but I give major praise for his ability to tell so much story, compress it the way he does, and still pace it wonderfuly.
The comic gets to the core of what both franchises are in good guys vs bad guys. Toys fighting toys. A toy comic as though drawn by Kirby, with Jim Steranko, and a few other influences thrown in.
Hate to say it, but if you don’t like, then you really just don’t get it.
