With the news that Tom (Loki) Huddleston might be in talks to play Morpheus and that Tom Hardy (who played Bane in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, commanded the Royal Navy at The Battle of Cape St. Vincent and wrote ‘Tess of the d’Urbervilles’) would be returning to a comic book property as Rick Flagg in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie, the cynical part of my mind concluded that Hollywood would from now on be using the same guys over and over in everything. Robert Downey Jr. will be Reed Richards with Ioan Gruffudd as Kang The Conqueror and Val Kilmer as a blonde Malibu Doctor Doom. The upside is that every Batman appearance, regardless of actor, will be voiced by Kevin Conroy, and no one will ever get to complain about Affleck-style surprise casting again, which leads us to today’s oddly familiar query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) would love to see Scarlett Johansson opposite the kid from ‘Arrow’ as Hawkman and Hawkwoman, Silver Age-style, asking: What actor who has already played a comic character would you like to see recast as a different comic character?

Gal Gadot I’m still not completely sold on as Wonder Woman, I would however pay cash-money to see her as Talia Al Ghul.
Richard Armitage aKa the HYDRA agent who shoots Professor Erskine would have made a pretty great Bruce Wayne.
I think he was on the short-list with Ben Affleck as well. Probably would have been weird with British Superman AND British Batman.
Mac from Agent’s Of Shield being cast as Mac and not Luke Cage, that is the crime of the century.
Eva Green (Sin City, 300) how on God’s green earth was she not cast as Catwoman. Why is she still not Catwoman. I’m pretty sure she was meant to play Catwoman!
Haven’t they already done this for a while? Chris Evans has not only been Captain America, but also Human Torch. Ryan Reynolds was Deadpool and Green Lantern. Tommy Lee Jones was Two Face and Chester Phillips.
If they ever made a live-action adaptation of Jade, the daughter of the original Green Lantern Alan Scott, I think she should be played by Elise Gatien, who played Mia Dearden in “Smallville”.
I also think Chris Pratt could be a pretty decent Guy Gardner. He can pull off the smart-@$$ attitude, as seen by parts of his portrayal of Star Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy.
Jack Black has a lock on Guy Gardner.
Robert Downey Jr. would make a superb Doctor Strange.
Karen Gillen as a young Jean Grey or Red Sonja.
