    BOOM! Box announces Giant Days

Press ReleaseBy Press ReleaseDecember 15, 20141 Min Read

    Press Release

Joining The Midas Flesh, Lumberjanes, and Teen Dog under our BOOM! Box imprint will be Giant Days, a new comic series created and written by John Allison, creator of the popular webcomics Scary Go Round and Bad Machinery.

In Glory Days, Susan, Esther, and Daisy started at university three weeks ago and became fast friends. Now, away from home for the first time, all three want to reinvent themselves. But in the face of hand-wringing boys, “personal experimentation,” Freshers Flu, mystery mold, nu-chauvinism, and the willful, unwanted intrusion of “academia,” they may be lucky just to make it to spring alive. John has a gift for writing some great dialogue, and ffans of Gotham Academy and Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Seconds will be instantly sucked in to this drama.

Illustrating the book will be Lissa Treiman, a storyboard artist who’s worked on Disney animated films like Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph. An artist himself, this will be the first time John Allison will be writing for someone else to draw. Look for more details as we get closer to the release of Giant Days in March.
