With all his legal troubles behind him, Bryan Singer has finalized his contract to direct X-Men: Apocalypse for 20th Century Fox.
The deal was reached over the last few days since the lawsuit was dropped by Michael Egan. According to Variety, Singer will direct as well as write the script with Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris.
“‘Apocalypse’ will have more of the mass destruction that ‘X-Men’ films, to date, have not relied upon,” Singer said. “There’s definitely now a character and a story that allow room for that kind of spectacle.”
X-Men: Apocalypse arrives in theaters on May 27, 2016.
