Warner Bros. and Legendary have announced that the next Godzilla movie will roar into theaters on June 08, 2018.
Returning to the movie is director Gareth Edwards, as well as the king of all monsters, Godzilla… but you kind of already figured that part out, right?
As we mentioned during our San Diego Comic Con coverage in July, Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah are expected to appear in the sequel, where they will fight it out to see who really is the king. Considering the kaiju involved in the movie, it really sounds like this could be a remake of the 1964 flick, Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster.
Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster (1964): The original version of the monster is an alien who travels to Earth in a magnetic meteorite, and devastates Japan until repelled by Godzilla, Rodan, and Mothra.

To date, Godzilla has grossed $508 million worldwide.
