The Legendary panel is happening right now in Hall H and first up was a video on Gareth Edwards giving up information about Godzilla 2.
Latino Review first tweeted out from San Diego that Edwards had announced the film:

After Edwards was done doing his little bit, Legendary played a video that gave the audience of where they are planning the newly rebooted Godzilla franchise. Firstshowing.net had live updates saying the studio is planning on expanding the Godzilla universe and that they will be adding more kaiju.

With Firstshowing followed that up by adding the line “Let them fight!” from the video the studio was showing.
So there you have it! Godzilla was a big hit with (most) audiences this spring and did well at the box office, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Godzilla 2 is coming. But, the inclusion of Ghidorah, Rodan, and Mothra for the second film is incredibly exciting. Many will remember that Edwards teased Mothra in the first film, so it’s good we will get to see his full vision from that.
There are sure to be more excitement from Legendary’s panel (Warcraft anyone?) so keep locked in on Major Spoilers.
