Bet you didn’t think you’d see another season of Community. Course you won’t be able to see it on a network channel, but you will be able to watch it on Yahoo!
On Monday, Sony Pictures Television announced that Yahoo! would promote and release a sixth season of the community college comedy series. As of today, we know that there will be 13 episodes, and many of the cast members will return. That’s the part in the entire story that is a little off at this point. The exact phrase is “featuring original cast members,” which doesn’t necessarily mean ALL cast members. I wonder who will be back, and who won’t?
Joel McHale, who stars in the series, added: “‘The reports of our cancellation have been greatly exaggerated.’ —Mark Twain (The other version of this quote has been wrong for years). #SixSeasonsAndaMovie is real. Thank you Sony. Thank you Yahoo. Thank you Dan Harmon. And thank you to the greatest f%$#ing fans in the history of the human race. It’s the internet. We can swear now.”
So, does this mean a movie is next on the lineup?

Not exactly a fan of the series (nor do I dislike it, I just don’t have strong feelings one way or the other since I’ve only seen two episodes), but I’ll say I’m a little surprised where it is going to be aired. I would’ve bet money that it would probably go to Hulu, Netflix or even cable before I’d have thought Yahoo.
