Wasted my money on Miilion Ways to die, so I automatically like this sight unseen.
If it wasn’t a movie about the classic tale of Sleeping Beauty, brought to you by the came people who brought us the classic tale of Sleeping Beauty, and featuring all the same characters (or at least same characters with different names) as the classic Sleeping Beauty… It would be a pretty nice story.
Unfortunately, what it all boiled down to was a visually beautiful and poorly written version of a classic tale, that takes the most epic villain in Disney’s history, and molly-coddles her, triying to turn her into an anti-hero. The end result of trying to merge this Classic tale with the new twist results in plot holes, badly formed characters and Maleficent being deflated from her rank of top evil in the land of good feelings, to a soap opera quality femme fatale.
