Even though it is said we will go down a dark alleyway each week staring a new villain, it also seems clear that there will be a much larger story that will unfold over the course of the season. Both methods can be incredibly effective if the team puts together an interesting world filled with multi-dimensional characters and, maybe I’m just rooting for this show, it seems like we may get both of those with Gotham.
