The Akira Project – Live Action Trailer (Official)
Check out this Skillshare class by the director Nguyen-Anh Nguyen, about indie filmmaking and how he made the Akira Project and his newest project, Temple…
I would love to see more of this. Amazing visuals plus imaginative visual effects equals a big thumbs up from me. I haven’t read a single page of Akira, but that is now going to change thanks to this trailer.
The Akira Project launched a successful Indiegogo campaign in 2012, with people not only contributing financially but also with their time to make this project a reality. With help from over 40 artists from 12 different countries, the project is now complete after filming for four days in Montreal followed by a year and a half of post-production. That was pretty awesome!
But I had to watch it twice because on seeing Osric Chau (who played the prophet Kevin on “Supernatural”), I kept thinking “So THAT is where Kevin went after he died!”
Not bad
