Fox’s Gotham series is getting even more interesting in the casting department as the studio announced it has cast Jada Pinkett Smith to play a villain in the series.
Pinkett Smith has been cast to play Fish Mooney, a gangster with a short tempter.
More and more it seems actors that have mostly been known for big screen work, are finding reasons to go to the small screen – mostly monetary. Beyond the bigger budgets television studios have at their disposal, the ability of the actor to portray the character for longer than two hours has to be a big draw as well. This of course circles back around to money, as actors can get residuals that continue to come in for a longer period of time when a television show goes to syndication.
Regardless, as the cast continues to grow, my interest in Gotham does as well.
