While most of the attention for Amazing Spider-Man 2 is placed on the movie sequel, there will also be a video game sequel coming from game developer Beenox. While the trailer mainly features Spider-Man slinging his way through the city and taking out thugs, an unexpected villain appears and lends his voice to the video.

From the trailer I get the feeling Beenox is going for an Arkham City vibe and I hope that they pull it off wonderfully. Getting to play as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in a setting that, while not as dark as Arkham City, has a great main storyline along with multiple side-stories, allows for exploartion, and has solid combat mechanics would make me oh-so-happy. So here’s to fingers crossed and a web full of good luck to Beenox.
