When faced with an FBI agent tasked with his capture, a fanboy pilot who knows his history, and the badass granddaughter of his lost love, the time-traveling hero must decide if he can trust these unlikely allies as he attempts to take on one of his oldest enemies!”
MATTHEW: Gotta love the Golden Age, and the first couple of issues (including the #0) have been pretty good here, so I’m interested in what the good Cap’n might be up to next…
STEPHEN: I was super excited after issue #0 dropped, and though I wasn’t sure what was going to happen with the mini-series, the first issue confirmed that this is a series that needs to be read. And read again. And once more.
WAYNE: This new title has shot up into the top tier of my “must read” comics each month! It’s a very unique take on the superhero genre, so I highly recommend it!

After helping him defeat the Master, the Doctor attempts to convince Grace Holloway to join him on his travels, in this untold tale!
MATTHEW: The mysterious Eighth Doctor takes the spotlight, as the mystery starts to coalesce. Can his past and future selves get it together in time to free one another, or is the dirt-nap for the last Time Lord?
After 50 years, I wouldn’t bet against him (any of him.)
FF #11
Writer: Matt Fraction
Artist: Mike Allred
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Cover Price: $2.99
SOLICITATION: • Purple!
• Green!
• IMPOSSIBLETOWN!
GEORGE: At last, Marvel’s greatest hero Impossible Man returns! This is the right creative crew to handle the ridiculousness of the character – I don’t know of any book that manages to be quite this fun issue after issue.
ITTY BITTY HELLBOY #1
Writer: Art Baltazar, Franco
Artist: Art Baltazar
Publisher: Dark Horse Comics
Cover Price: Price: $2.99
SOLICITATION: A ghost named Rasputin has been spotted! And Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. are going to find out what he’s up to.
Who is Hellboy anyway? Why does he have such a big hand and what is it used for? Who’s weirder, him or his friends? What is the B.P.R.D.? And what does chicken soup have to do with all of it? This and more answered in the debut issue, where BIG things happen to itty bitty Hellboy!
RODRIGO: When I saw the solicit for this I was really excited. But I have to say that, looking at the cover and how much it looks like Tiny Titans is a little disappointing. I was hoping for a “Gashlycrumb Tinies” kind of look.

Dresden has made the cursed Talbots’ salvation his own personal crusade – but a bloodline can’t be cleansed without a blood sacrifice! “
WAYNE: If you’re as big a fan of the Dresden Files novels as I am, you should be reading this comic! This issue features the story’s conclusion, so I won’t miss it!
JUSTICE LEAGUE #23
Writer: Geoff Johns
Artist: Ivan Reis, Joe Prado
Publisher: DC Comics
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: TRINITY WAR CHAPTER 6! Trinity War concludes! But that doesn’t mean all ends well for our heroes. The secret behind Pandora’s Box is revealed and it means the end of the Justice Leagues!
KEVIN: DC Comics’s Trinity War crossover comes to an end with Justice League #23. So far, Trinity War has lived up to its hype. Geoff Johns has done a remarkable job holding the story together, while Ivan Reis’s artwork is spectacular. This is a great pickup for any DC Comics fan.
ROB: And the Trinity War finishes. While I have been really enjoying the story, I am glad to see it end without dragging everything out. The splitting of the Leagues has been well done and I do look forward to where this will be leading in the next few months.
STEPHEN: I’ll admit it, I haven’t read jack in regards to the Trinity War, but now that it is over, I can go back and read everything in one marathon reading session. Looking forward to this!
LAZARUS #3

Cover Price: $2.99
SOLICITATION: “FAMILY,” Part Three
Forever, now a “guest” of Family Morray in Mexico, shares a message and ultimatum, and gets to know her opposite number, the Morray Lazarus, Joacquim. In Los Angeles, the Twins continue their plot against their father, using Forever as their pawn.
GEORGE: Lazarus is the real deal, folks. The world that Greg Rucka is building more and more with each issue is fascinating. It’s a place of haves and have-nots, of frightening technology and byzantine politics. This should be the new hot thing, so get in on it early.
MASS EFFECT FOUNDATION #2
Writer: Mac Walters
Artist: Tony Parker
Publisher: Dark Horse Comics
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: Urdnot Wrex—one of the most dangerous mercenaries in the galaxy—crosses paths with a mysterious secret agent in this explosive adventure!
RODRIGO: Much like Halo, Mass effect is a game whose aesthetic I like, but I’m really bad at. Good thing there are comics for this.
MIND THE GAP #13
Writer: Jim McAnn

Publisher: Image Comics
Cover Price: $2.99
SOLICITATION: ‘R.I. PETERSSEN,’ Part One The race to kill Elle begins here! Min and her lackeys wrestle to control the final fate of Elle, but there are others who may be one step ahead. The only thing that’s certain is that Elle must die. As Elle’s time as she knows it winds down, learn how it all began, with the flashbacks to the origin of Jairus! Is this the beginning of the end…or just the end of the beginning?
CHRIS: Mind the Gap has been an awesome mystery, providing something that similar stories sometimes don’t. Answers! While the questions keep building, the reader is given enough information that it doesn’t become tedious. A great book along the lines of Morning Glories.
STATION TO STATION #1
Writer: Corinna Bechko, Gabriel Hardman
Artist: Gabriel Hardman
Publisher: Dark Horse Comics
Cover Price: $2.99
SOLICITATION: Something terrible has happened to the Bay Area. A pipeline explosion has totaled Treasure Island and destroyed the Bay Bridge. At least, that’s the official story . . .
An interdimensional monster has been brought to San Francisco, and only the men responsible can fight it off, but can they resist its brainwashing? From the pages of Dark Horse Presents
GEORGE: I will buy any comic named after a groundbreaking David Bowie album. Even more so, if it features interdimensional monstrosities devouring San Francisco.

Publisher: Image Comics
Cover Price: $2.99
SOLICITATION: In the aftermath of their first battle with Tyrannosaurus X, Derek and Super Dinosaur get… fancy!
ROB: It feels like it’s been ages since I’ve seen this book. Maybe it has, maybe I’m just bad with time, either way I’m glad to see it back as this was always one of the more amusing reads any given week.
TMNT ONGOING #25
Writer: Tom Waltz, Kevin Eastman
Artist: Mateus Santolouco, Kevin Eastman

SOLICITATION: “CITY FALL” part 4: City Fall continues as Shredder reveals his new second-in-command: Leonardo! Don’t miss this landmark 25th issue that sees the launch of a full-scale war on New York City! The Savate, Foot Clan, and Slash are all back – along with a couple of shocking special guests!
ROB: I have mentioned that this series is great right? Combining many of the best parts of all the TMNT varied series has worked quite well, and it looks like we’ll be getting even more in the very near future. Pick up this story line, it is a great read.
TRANSFORMERS: MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE #20
Writer: James Roberts
Artist: Alex Milne
Publisher: IDW Publishing
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: NOWHERE TO RUN! The end is nigh for the surviving members of the Lost Light crew, as enemies old and new move in for the kill. But on the fringes of known space, an ancient visionary is about to eliminate the Cybertronian race with a wave of his hand.
CHRIS: Do I really need to continue to explain why these Transformers books are awesome? Just buy them, because they are.
YOUNG AVENGERS #9
Writer: Kieron Gillen
Artist: Jamie McElvie
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Cover Price: $2.99
SOLICITATION:
• We wanted to just write “Screaming! Screaming! Screaming!” for this solicit, but we’re told we need boring old facts. :(
• Anyway! The Young Avengers road trip across the multiverse goes proper crazy as it reaches it’s destination. It’s destination is mainly EXCITEMENT and HEARTBREAK.
• Several Young Avengers decide what to do next. The question is, whether what they do next is to be Young Avengers…
• Honestly, screaming.
MATTHEW: Fun stuff, fun cast, Kate Bishop. That’s pretty much all you needs t’know…
