Remember when you said you wanted a live action Battle of the Planets movie?
Yeah, me neither, but that hasn’t stopped Toho Company from taking the beloved manga/anime series, Gatchaman, and turning it into a full on movie.
I don’t know what they are saying, I don’t know what is going on, but damn, if I don’t want to see this right now!

Somewhere Matthew is screaming . . .
Looks pretty cool though. Kinda curious what “Bump of the Chicken” is.
Bump of Chicken is a Japanese music group who provided music for the movie (or at least the trailer).
Glad Hollywood wasn’t behind this, otherwise it would have been total camp with Jonah Hill as 7-Zark-7
I’m both surprised and relieved that they didn’t go a little more Super Sentai with the costumes, particularly the helmets. Ever since the Jetman continuation manga changed their helmets to a look closer to Gatchaman (which is fitting as it was part of the inspiration for Jetman), I always worried a live-action Gatchaman would have full helmets.
And I’m so VERY glad Hollywood didn’t do this.
