    MOVIES: Karen Gillan joins Guardians of the Galaxy

    The Hollywood Reporter reports that Doctor Who star, Karen Gillan isn’t done traveling through the universe, as the trade claims the actress has joined Guardians of the Galaxy cast.

    The movie is in casting mode, with Glenn Close joining the roll call earlier this week. Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista lead the cast of Marvel’s space adventure movie, which has Lee Pace and Michael Rooker as villains.

    THR didn’t have any news on the character Gillan would play, but it is expected she will play a female villain.

    Considering the other big Doctor Who news coming out this weekend, at least everyone is still finding work.
