The Lone Ranger, directed by Gore Verbinski and featuring Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as John Reid, the Lone Ranger, is a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American spirit warrior Tonto recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid, a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.
The Lone Ranger comes to theaters in the States on July 3, 2013.

Criticism? Surely you jest!
First, it’s a dumb idea to begin with. They’re taking a beloved franchise that’s over fifty years past its prime and that treated Native Americans like dirt instead of allowing it to die a long overdue death.
Second, they’re turning it into a vehicle for Johnny Depp, which will mean it will probably be too comedic.
Which means it will probably end up offending both Lone Ranger Fans and Lone Ranger critics.
What’s to criticize?

depp is part Indian.
They will have to go a long way to make this movie suck as bad as the last “Lone Ranger” did.
