Though John Dies At The End doesn’t arrive in theaters until January 25, you can catch the movie now on the iTunes store. I’ve seen the movie, and it is a mind trip of epic proportions, and that should come as no surprise, the movie is directed by Don Coscarelli, who directed Bubba Ho-Tep.
A new street drug that sends its users across time and dimensions has one drawback: some people return as no longer human. Can two college dropouts save humankind from this silent, otherworldly invasion?
The movie has several plots running at the same time, and not all of them are resolved by the end of the movie, and some are so short, you’ll miss them if you aren’t paying attention. To be honest, this movie is far enough out there, that it is going to slip past many people’s radar, which doesn’t bode well for box office sales. John Dies At The End isn’t going to be for everyone, but I predict it will be a cult classic and appear in many movie collections for years to come.
