Hi, not sure if anyone saw this, but apparently George Lucas has announced that the money from the sale will be used for an educational charity of some sort.
Yup, I did see that. Only announced/revealed in the last 24 hours, though. The organization is his own educational organization, similar to Oprah’s charity foundation.
So, the Indiana Jones franchise also belongs to Disney now, as Stephen and Matthew mentioned in the episode. I’m sure this will result in more Indy merchandise, but I also expect to see this franchise rebooted. I doubt there will be any more sequels involving Harrison Ford in the lead role. Plus he’s 70 this year, so just look for him to maybe make a cameo appearance. I don’t think it will just continue with Shia LaBeouf either – I hope to see Nathan Fillion as Indy, since it looks like we’re never getting him in an Uncharted movie like we should.
