Archie Comics, the leading children’s comic book publisher and home to some of the most recognizable pop culture characters in the world, including Archie, Betty and Veronica, Jughead, Kevin Keller, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Josie and the Pussycats, announced that they have tapped Adam Tracey to serve as Director of Publicity and Marketing.
“We are thrilled to have Adam on board,” said Archie Comics Co-CEO Jon Goldwater. “His background and his love of comics are the perfect complement to the Archie team. We are excited to have him handling all aspects of media for Archie as the brand moves forward with some amazing plans for the future.”
With a decade of editorial experience and several years of digital media experience to draw from, Adam Tracey joins the publisher at a time of rapid growth and unprecedented success.
“I’m thrilled to help Archie continue the meteoric climb that the company and the brand have seen over the past two years,” says Tracey, speaking from the Archie Comics offices. “What’s been done up to now has been truly amazing, and with so many more great things on the horizon for Archie, my biggest challenge will be just trying to keep up with everything we have in store!”
Tracey will take over duties overseeing the company’s external messaging to the press, social media and marketing outlets. He previously managed editorial for ToyFare Magazine and ran programming for Wizard World Conventions. His background includes time spent on the journalism side writing freelance for video game and entertainment website UGO.com in addition to a stint as Editor-in-Chief of a monthly citywide publication in New Orleans. Tracey’s unique skill set combined with his editorial know-how render him expertly equipped to handle the media magnet that is Archie Comics.
