The upcoming wedding of Northstar and Kyle (known to the paparazzi as “Northstyle”) has made me all nostalgic for past superhero weddings, and couples who probably SHOULD have gotten married, but for whatever reason, never did. (At least Paul Levitz had the decency to put Blok and Mysa together again.)
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) wants to have and to hold, love, honor and obey, asking: Which pop-culture couple (retconned or unretconned) is your favorite?

Ralph and Sue
I should clarify that… Ralph and Sue before things got all fried, psycho, and ghostly…
Agreed 100%. Ralph and Sue have always been in my top 3 comic book couples (the moment at the end of 52 where they’re together as (SPOILERS, obviously) ghosts still makes me cry a little for the sheer joy and love. They’re the truest of the comic book couples I’ve read.
I also love Green Arrow and Black Canary together, but they’re not exactly the model couple.
Ralph & Sue for life! Favorite couple, and characters. I’d also like to throw on Mister Miracle & Big Barda.
Oh man, I just caught the title of this MSQotD. Well done, Mr. Peterson, well done.
Hiding Easter Eggs is half the fun of the MS-QOTD…
I’ll go with Victoria and Ted if we go with the Season 1 relationship lasting. I have nothing but burning rage towards Ted currently.
That’s because Ted has been a douche since the middle of season 4 or so… Of course, his treatment of Victoria, Robin and Mary the paralegal in Season 1 was no prize, either.
I have a soft spot for Ben Grimm and Alicia Masters.
The recent Fantastic Four issue where Ben turned human for a day and got to be with Alicia made me teary for a bit.
I’ve never read *any* comics featuring them, but even so, I really like Mister Miracle and Big Barda.
All I know is from the net, but they seem like a good, and awesome, couple.

Check out some JLI, especially Annual #2 featuring a BBQ at their house, and the Lord Magna Khan saga after he kidnaps scott and Barda leads some of the JLI to rescue the escape artist.

That’s a mighty specific fantasy life you have there, Slaps… Remember what Siggy said: “If it ain’t one thing, it’s your mother…”
Slap, you watched the first season of “Game of Thrones” a lot, didn’t you?
Not a single episode.
What Fantasy?
Eeewwwww!
I’m a tad worried about you…
*Backs away slowly*
We’re all a little worried about Slappy.
?
Peter Parker & Mary Jane Watson. Also Peter & Kitty Pride in the Ultimate universe. I also thought Hank Pym & Tigra was a good idea before Marvel made him a Skrull.
Peter and Kitty, 616 both Claremont and briefly Whedon.
It would have been Peter and M.J. if Marvel hadn’t SCREWED THAT UP.
Bruce Wayne and Selena Kyle.
Always liked Bruce and Silver St. Cloud more as a couple.
Good choice, but I never really thought that much of the Silver St. Cloud character. Maybe it was the fact that her name sounded too much like a Bond girl.
The (older) leads from crouching tiger hidden dragon. Kickass couple.
Havok and Polaris.
I’m shocked nobody said Scott Summers and Jean Grey yet.
Before X-Men 137, they were a great couple. Since then in the comics they’ve gotten too (long pause) I’m not really sure what word I wanna use.
Scott & Jean in X-Men: Evolution were a good couple.
Nightwing & Starfire before Denny O’Neil put the kibosh on them.
Lois & Clark during the Byrne Era.
Essa Rios & Lita.
Stature & Vision made an interesting couple.
Dr. Tom Jackman/Mr. Hyde & Claire from Jekyll
Colossal Boy & Yera.
Ultimate Pater Parker & MJ
Ultimate Peter Parker & Kitty.
“Essa Rios and Lita” LMAO!!! Man, that’s good! Poor Essa. He got left behind like dirty laundry in a vacant apartment.
I miss the Wolfman Perez coupling of Dick and Kory. It gave dick a life and Kory personality.
