In a tragic instant, Arizona Representative Gabrielle Giffords went from a member of Congress to national symbol of hope and an upcoming issue of Bluewater Productions “Female Force” biography comic book series seeks to take full measure of her life as a legislator through her courageous struggle to recover from an assassin’s bullet
For the anniversary of the shooting, the NOOK & KINDLE editions of, “Female Force: Gabrielle Giffords” is available on Tuesday. The comic book follows the Fulbright Scholar’s career from local Tucson businessperson to popular Arizona politician. Most notably, the issue will revolve around the tragic events of January 8, 2011 when a gunman killed six people and wounded 13 others including Giffords in a horrific attempt on the Congressman’s life.
