I don’t get it. Someone explain it to me.
It is a joke based around the old saying “I wouldn’t touch you with a 10 foot pole” or something to that extent.
Ohhh! That’s what that is! Because when I saw the ruler, my mind went . . . ummm . . . other places.

… We ditched the Major Spoiler Adventures for bad visual jokes? I’m sorry to be the one who gripes in public, but.. I hope this isn’t your best material by a LONG shot. :) I can find bad “puns” (I know it’s not a pun, but for the sake of discussion…) anywhere on the internets. The MSA Crew had personality and character! And that incredible housekeeper! ^_^
We didn’t “ditch” anything. The creator chose to do something different.
And as with anything, it’s hard to make a meaningful judgement two panels in. We should all be willing to give Bruce a chance, given his pedigree as the SOLE writer and original creator of Major Spoilers Adventures, right?
Reminds me of Gary Larson’s “The Far Side”, humorous got a good chuckle out of that one.
