Shocking news for fans of AMC’s The Walking Dead. Show runner (the person responsible for the day to day operations of the show) Frank Darabont is stepping down. There’s no word if he has left the show completely, or if he will still executive produce and direct certain elements of the production.
With the show in the middle of production, and Darabont not saying anything about this news at the San Diego Comic Con, this will certainly have the studio and the cable network scrambling to make sure everything transitions smoothly.
The second season of The Walking Dead is scheduled to arrive on AMC on October 16, 2011.

This makes me nervous.
This show has already seen quite a bit of personal turn over, be interesting to hear the reason for that a few years down the road.
