Mike Judge and MTV have announced that Beavis and Butthead are returning to television.
Judge joked that he brought the show back because he felt like TV was getting too smart. He explained that originally, he ended the series after being burned out, stepping away from the characters in spite of offers for sequels to the movie, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America.
Take the jump for a sneak preview, and more.
Expect to see a lot of the old characters returning to the series – but I’m gonna bet the prototype of Hank Hill won’t be seen anywhere in the show.

Beavis and Butthead return to MTV this fall.
In other news MTV says they still have no plans on playing music videos anytime soon.
(That last part was by me.. a bitter, bitter old man, who longs to once again shout “I Want My MTV!”)

You can still shout “I want my MTV” Someday you may once again get Music Television.
Awesome, really. I can’t wait. While I don’t love the “new” couch watching, I may warm up to it, especially if they watch crappy things like Jersey Shore, The Hills, and Teen Mom.
I’m flashing back to my high school days now. I think I like that they’re poking fun at Jersey shore and such this time around, and I still got a laugh out of the clip.
I feel dumber just for watching that preview….
I would bet that Tom Anderson (The Hank Hill prototype) will have died while having a heart attack at the hands of one of B&B’s stupid antics… If he doesn’t appear, that is…
