If you are an avid/rabid fan of Kevin Smith, you’ve probably seen the Original Media Facebook page announcing an open call for people to get in on a new reality television series focusing on the New Jersey comic book store. Smith confirmed the television reality series and announced it would be on AMC TV via his Twitter feed.
Now, while it will be cool to see the store and people running the store and interacting with customers, it looks like the recent Pawn Stars/Pickers reality boom is finding its way to the comic book market.
We’re also looking for people in the Tri-state area with cool, unique, rare, or otherwise awesome comic book/movie memorabilia. It’s Pawn Stars for Fanboys, and if you have something to sell/trade/or value, we want you to bring it to us! Must be available in Red Bank, NJ on either June 2nd or June 3rd AND one additional day between June 14th – 16th.
Will be very interesting to see what people bring in. I hope someone brings in a long box of X-Men #1 from the ’90s and be told the entire box is only worth $5.00. The show is being produced by the same group that does Swamp People and Ink.

Cannot wait for this!
Kev might do some remotes from LA..and be in the first few…but this show will live and die on the backs of the Tell Em Steve Dave guys. To be honest I am more excited to see Bry, Walt and Quinn on tv regularly.
I will love to see the TESD boys on the TV especially Quinn, and as a bonus maybe Ming or Sunday Jeff will be part of the show.
Wow, I can not wait to see this. I love the Tell Em Steve Dave podcast most out of all of the Smodcast podcasts. I have to catch up to hear the announcement from the guys … I am sure Walt will still find something negative about it, like it doesn’t mean anything until the TESD guys get on Leno :|
big fan, eh
