It’s Friday, and what better way to ease into a long weekend, than with some art by Chris Bachalo and Tim Townsend.
This is the cover to VALKYRIE by Chris Bachalo and myself. Ive always loved this character since way back in the early 80’s era DEFENDERS books. I think her boobies should have been bigger (in keeping with the character) but I still love this cover.

i love the work that these two do together. it’s always so gorgeous. i’m especially digging Valk’s feet.
I know Rodrigo loves this, but why does she have Cloven feet?
While I know one leg is a third of her total body weight the design is still cool, somehow.
one thing I always loved about Bachalo, especially in the 90s, was he was one of the only people drawing women with a whole variety of body “types”… yes the more demure form seemed to be his favorite, but it was still refreshing when everyone else was have Cup size compete with gun size.
Only thing I dislike is the feet. It’s like she has those Powerpuff girl rounded feet stumps and they just fit right into her boots.
