I’m glad parents take their kids to Comic-Con. Even with all the scantily clad women, questionable products, and pretend violence, there are some moments that get you pretty excited for the next generation of comic book readers.

Absolutely THE moment. Awesom-o!
I got chills hah
THAT was AWESOME!
Where is the trailer already????
Lame costume or no, I do think Im going to love this. I hope they show more at the NY Comic Con in October
Nice to see a kid getting the chance to ask a question as opposed to comic books guy.
I actually teared up a little bit there.
That’s pretty cool.
Awesome. It makes me kinda sad how “mature” comics have become these days.
Indeed!
That’s a great moment. Apparently it continues with Reynolds singing a copy of GL: Rebirth and giving it to the kid. and getting him backstage to meet him.
This should be a reminder to the older fans (especially the more cynical ones who aren’t necessarily old).
End of the day – it’s about the kids and letting them enjoy the wonder that is colorful costumes, capes, heroes, villains, secret oaths, fantasy and adventure.
That was BADASS!!! Props to Reynolds not blowing off the kid; he could have really been a dick but was SUUUPERRRR cool and made a great moment!!
Okay, just to add on for all of 2010 comiccon calling this a Crowning Moment of Heartwarming/Awesome.
Amen, arcee. Amen.
I could only imagine how ugly this would have been if he didn’t know the oath or somehow messed it up :P
I love how the kid holds up the ring after as if to say “hey you forgot this part” :D
When he recited the oath it reminded me of Stewart Smalley.
