The last preview page fills me with some curiosity. Some connection to the Marvels Project perhaps?
I’m just glad to see a comic that has super-heroes actually wear space-compatible suits when off earth and not just break out in full costume. Obviously there’s no need for Moon Knight or Val to have a cape in space so it makes sense.
The art on the cover is awful. Hank McCoy looks like my Chow, Felix (RIP), dyed blue.
I think everyone is in agreement that it is time for Cat Beast to go. What perplexes me is that in Avengers #1 he appears as his former simian self, but in Secret Avengers he looks like a refuge from a Meow Mix commercial. So who here is exempt from current continuity, John Romita, Jr or Mike Deodato?
I haven’t seen Hank McCoy drawn consistently since that damn “cat look” came in. Sorry folks but I find it hard for a manly, brainy hero to be “feline”. Hell, I liked “Dark Beast’s” look in Dark X-men better than the 100 different versions of McCoy done recently.
Plus I get tired of seeing Hank getting his ass kicked. The character’s been around forever and he and Steve Rogers trained together during this time in the Avengers previously. Hank McCoy should be one of the baddest heroes on the planet, not the guy that get’s his ass whipped first and then comes up with a real good idea.
Hey leav cat beast alone, for me is better than ape beast(well I admit i’m kinda biased here as I don’t like primates, apes or monkeys as principle, perhaps a reptilian beast would make everyone agree? as horse beast-you know what i’m talking about- was universally hated)
That last page is a great teaser; I can’t wait for this issue. Regarding Beast, in my mind, as long as he’s drawn with head-to-toe blue fur, I’m a happy reader. I don’t mind different artists’ interpretations.
