There’s a brand new superhero show out of England called Misfits, and after watching the pilot, it looks like it could be the next Heroes.
The series follows a gang of five young oddballs serving community service orders who, after being caught in a freak electrical storm, find themselves saddled with strange superpowers.

Misfits is one of the best tv shows this year. It’s like Dead Set + Skins.
i hated dead set, mostly because i was already tired of the zombie fad.
misfits is great. like you said, it’s heroes, with a smaller budget. haven’t watched episode 2 to 4 yet, but the first episode showed some promises.
Lets hope its not “the new Heroes” …
Don’t worry. It’s an english show. Already it will be different just because it’s not from the US

It’s a great show episode 4 hit here last night and I’m off to watch it later. Be aware it’s a late night British show and rude. Lots of swearing and boobies if they don’t get cut. If you can do British humor you will love it. Five kids on ASBOs get super powers!
It’s like Skins meets the New Mutants, with a bit of Shameless thrown in for good measure. Probably the most interesting comic inspired TV series I’ve seen. Definitely worth watching, it’s the show Heroes would be if it had the balls.
The title reminds me of ‘Misfits of Science’ series.
I hate to nitpick, but it’s not the BBC. It’s E4. We have more than one channel you know……..
BBC is the distributor, they handle a lot of shows including stuff from Channel 4.

I think this show is better than Dexter! I’m in the States. I swear it’ll only be a matter of time before this show is picked up by a network here. I’m looking forward to a second season.
and why would you compare these shows together?
@ Hermit, Dexter is the #1 show in the States right now. Great show, but I think this series could give it a run for it’s money.
i don’t think so. no big name, no big budget, not american.
don’t get me wrong, i love the show, but you have to admit that americans don’t trust english shows very often.

1 season so far. 6 episodes. i love the english shows for that, they don’t milk it until it’s bad.
I just wanna see what happens after Nathan discovers his “special power” and if it helps him at all in the situation he finds himself in at the end of episode 6…
The weird cult of young “doo gooders ” is a fantastic concept… love it!
Misfits is being aired on Showcase (in Canada) so i’m sure that means Americans can see it too on some cable chanel…
I discovered it at the worst time slot (5am) when I was getting ready for work…
Now I’m hooked and can’t wait to see if they have another season… (or if it will make it over the pond)
Does anyone know of other shows by the same creators that are as good?
i love shows from the uk is their going to be a 2 season of misfits and are there any more good shows from the uk like misfits and being human i cant get enough of those.
