A couple of casting announcements have been made for the upcoming Justice Society episode of Smallville. Michael Shanks, of Stargate fame, has been cast as Hawkman, while Brent Stait of Stargate SG-1: Children of the Gods will be donning the golden helmet of Doctor Fate. Smallville has been pretty notorious for changing up the powers/look of classic DC characters for the television series, so I’m not entirely confident we’ll see either of the actors done their respective costumes for the Geoff Johns penned episode.

Confirming live action Doc Fate and ON my actual birthday? This day just keeps getting better and better.
Now if I could find a way to steal his helmet after the filming….
