Here’s another rapid-fire roundup of items from the DC Nation Panel, that includes interesting information about Kevin Smith.
Here’s what we know this morning:
- If you don’t know it already, Starman scribe James Robinson will be taking over Justice League
- If you are a Barry Allen fan, don’t forget about Flash: Rebirth arriving in January
- Matthew will get a kick out of Legion of Three Worlds as George Perez is drawing every Legion member ever. Should make those Hero Histories much more interesting.
- Kevin Smith will be working on Batman as soon as the R.I.P. story ends in November. This will not be the Batman title proper, but a six issue mini-series, which if Green Arrow is any indication will see the sixth issue arrive somewhere near the end of the century.
- Speaking of Smith’s Green Arrow run, the mini-series will feature villain Onomatopoeia
- Readers will see the Indigo Lanterns appear in April or May. Indigo Lanterns, man I love their albums from the ’80s and ’90s.
- Aquaman appears in Final Crisis #3. The panel didn’t say which Aquaman would appear though.
- DiDio seemed to indicate Ted Kord is Barry Allen Dead – as in “too important to bring back”.
- There are some Elseworlds titles in the works.
- Andrew Kreisberg, ABC’s Eli Stone writer, is the new writer for Green Arrow. Thank goodness, I thought they were going say Smith was returning.
- It may not be new news, by Zatanna will get her own series, written by (surprise, surprise) Paul Dini.
- Sadly, DC will continue the Simon Dark series.
More wrap ups as I get around to them. Man, who thought I’d be more tired sitting at home writing about the con, than actually being at the show?

So Zatanna will be the new magic series that will eventually get cancelled? ;p
You know, one of the few thing that have bummed me out of DC is the death of the Flash kids.Maybe after Final Crisis is oer I’ll give DC a try.
“DiDio seemed to indicate Ted Kord is Barry Allen Dead – as in “too important to bring backâ€. ”
…
I thought Robinson was getting the Hal-Jordan-led JL spinoff, rather than the mothership. Or is it both?
And Smith’s book shouldn’t see delays. DC has experience with his DDD issues and knows to wait until the scripts are ready before putting an artist on them, let alone putting them on the schedule. Not that there should be any worries; after the ZACH & MIRI final cut is ready for print, he doesn’t have any major projects greenlit.
Oh, and if Barry Allen Dead means what it does these days, Ted’ll be back, hale and hearty, before you know it.
