One of the best things about going to San Diego Comic-Con is the opportunity to get your hands on the exclusive toys and action figures, and even get them signed by creators, artists, or actors.  Diamond Select Toys (booth #2607) has passed along its list of events and exlusives going on at the show.

Sigh… I guess I’m going to have to spend some time on eBay in the weeks following the convention.

    From Diamond Select Toys:

Preview Night opens on Wednesday, July 23rd and gives convention attendees their first chance to pick up their favorite Comic Con exclusive items.

Transformers G1 Animated Optimus Prime Bust (limited to 1,000 pieces) will be on sale for $60.00.
Marvel Select Skrull Elektra Two-Pack action figures will be available for $20.00.
Marvel Minimates Invaders Box Sets will be sold for $16.00.
Battlestar Galactica’s “Valley of Darkness” Cylon Centurion will be available for $16.00.

Fan-favorite online retailer Action Figure Xpress (Booth #4045) will be revealing new future exclusives in addition to offering these DST-produced SDCC exclusives.

Marvel Minimates Iron Man Through the Ages Box Sets will be available for $16.00.
Transformers Skywarp Bust (limited to 400 pieces) will be on sale for $60.00.

Battlestar Galactica’s Bodie Olmos will be appearing at the DST booth on Friday and Saturday and will be signing autographs in both the mornings and afternoons of each day.  Autograph tickets will be included in one of two packages: 1) $20 for one autograph ticket and one 8×10 photo or 2) $25 for one autograph ticket and one “Hot Dog” action figure.

Attendees of this year’s San Diego Comic Con will also be able to see several upcoming releases for the first time, including the official debut of the Ultimate Quarter Scale Star Wars line!  Other highlights include the next assortment of Battlestar Galactica action figures, Marvel Minimates box sets, Transformers busts, Marvel Select action figures and more!

Also debuting during this year’s show will be the all-new Art Asylum web site, designed to give fans a look inside the operations at DST headquarters like never before!  Expected to launch on Wednesday, July 23rd, fans can visit www.artasylum.com during the show for exclusive news, product debuts and more!

From 1:00 – 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 26th, join Diamond Select Toys director Chuck Terceira and the rest of the Minimate creators for a glimpse at what’s to come for the number one block figure brand in the world.  Ask your questions, make your requests and get a sneak peek at future Minimate designs during this must-see panel discussion located in Room 3.  Diamond Select Toys will also be appearing on the Action Figure Times Toymaker Q&A panel (07/24 in Room 3 from 5:30pm – 6:30pm) and the Action Figures Insider: Plastically Incorrect 2008 panel (07/26 in Room 30AB from 4:30pm – 5:30pm).

Diamond Select Toys has continued its support of the annual Robert A. Heinlein Blood Drive, which will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  In exchange for participating, all donors will receive a strictly limited Battlestar Galactica Season 3 Chief Tyrol action figure only available at this year’s show!  The only way to receive one these rare collectibles is to roll up your sleeve and donate!

Okay, the Mini-Mate Invaders are frickin’ awesome.

Um, the Skrull Elektra is nice, but is that Don Imus next to her?
