The Dark Knight Returns
Bruce Wayne is close to being a broken man but something is keeping him sane: the need to see change and the belief that he can orchestrate some of that change. Batman is back. The Dark Knight has returned.

Great podcast, I’m a big Batman fan so of course i enjoyed hearing your individual takes on TDK, agreed with a lot, got a lot of new things to think about. BUT i really gotta wonder how long does it take to get a banana split, i mean come Ooooon!
BTW the people that like Batman as the vigilante are a way different crowd then the ones that enjoy thinking of him as The Worlds Greatest Detective aka EXTREME MCGyver aka somebody that wouldn’t play chess against Reed Richard for lack of a challenge… In my mind Bruce isn’t just Batman, he really is THE GODDAMN BATMAN a demon like entity that entered young Bruce in that alley and hasn’t left since…Something out of this world that grants him the mind he has like a wink wink nudge nudge “Dark Passenger” (google it) thats sorta what I’m thinking. Batman gets power form the dark like Kal-el from the light and not only by using fear and creating the icon of the bat, which we all know makes him more then a man etc etc but maybe even in a literal sense. Maybe thats why Etrigan was introduced in a Batman comic? In any case Bruce is mortal, Batman the vigilante is mortal, but THE BATMAN is NOT mortal and is way more out of this world then Superman, Bizarro or even fuckwit for that matter.
