WizKids has announced it has sold out its entire Crisis inventory in the U.S. and Canada. Because of the scarcity, WizKids will be importing a limited number of booster packs from Europe, but after those are gone, the worldwide supply of the game figures will be gone.
“We are pleased and surprised with the outstanding results of the sale of Crisis,†said Joe Hauck, WizKids® executive vice president. “Diamond and Alliance sold in two weeks what historically would have sold over the course of four months. The tie-ins between this HeroClix set and the rich DC Comics storylines created a product that really resonates with our total customer base.â€
The company claims the success of the sell out is due in part to its “Buy by the Brick” campaign.
