Carla Gugino has been cast as Sally Jupiter/Silk Spectre in the Watchmen movie. Since the graphic novel features Jupiter at various points in her life, it is expected Gugino will go through some makeup treatments to age her throughout the film.

Still, an odd choice to play a red-headed Polish-American sexpot of the 1940’s. There goes sticking to the source material, eh? Maybe Alan Moore has a point…?
I don’t know how they could possibly skank her up the way Sally J. looked in the 1980’s segments of the book, Sally looked absolutely wretched. I’m sure they’ll find a way, but still…yowza. Carla’s scenes in Sin City kicked in what I now believe to be my second puberty.
Well, I can say that she looks remarkably like some of the Polish women that I’m related to, though I thought Sally Jupiter had blue eyes…
