What happens when you mix one part Exorcist with another part David Lynch? You’ll find out in August when Image Comics and Rick Remender release a four issue ghost story called Sorrow.
In a prepared statement Remender said, “I’ve been fascinated with the idea of possession since childhood. There is nothing more terrifying than the idea of dark, disembodied spirits creeping in and taking us over. Co-writer Seth Peck and I wrote this with the idea that gore is the least interesting aspect of Horror stories– true horror is psychological, not simply bloody.”

In 1952, the U.S. Government’s nuclear testing killed all of the good people of Sorrow, Nevada. Today, the sign in front of town reads “population zero”. The locals, however, will tell you a very different story… When a car accident strands a group of four young travelers in this desolate ghost town, they soon find that not all that is buried is dead.
The black and white mini-series will arrive in August for $2.99.
