DC has announced the final issue of 52 will be 48 pages long! That’s over twice the number of pages we would normally get. DC doesn’t plan on hiking the price to compensate, stating the issue will still be $2.50.
The 52 writing team of Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka and Mark Waid and breakdown artist Keith Giffen are joined by top artists including pencillers Mike McKone, Justiniano, Darick Robertson, Eddy Barrows, Pat Olliffe and Chris Batista and inkers Andy Lanning, Rodney Ramos, Waldon Wong and Drew Geraci. Also, this issue features a special wraparound cover by acclaimed artist J.G. Jones.

And, don’t tell me…4 additional pages of ads and/or previews?
Can you believe it…eight, count’em EIGHT pages of ads! WOOT!
Why isn’t it 52 pages?
It would make too much sense, and would drive the conspiracy theorists crazy.
