We’ve seen comics tackle addiction before, but in March’s After The Cape, Shadowline examines the fall from grace addiction has on even the most powerful. The Howard Wong, Marco Rudy tale follows Ethan Falls as his addiction takes over, and his downward spiral leads from fame to a life of crime.
In a prepared statement, Wong said, “After The Cape is a very personal story about the cost of success. Ethan Falls is faced with the temptations of taking the wrong road. Marco and I are enjoying using the superhero tradition to tell a story about the harsh consequences we all could face, and how one man, who should be impervious to such dangers, succumbs to them.
