Image Comics Meltdown hits the stands next week (December 6), and the company has set up a cross-country tour of comic shops for the creative team of David B. Schwartz and Sean Wang. The two will be signing comics at the following locations:
Wednesday, December 6: DJ’s Universal Comics, Studio City, CA
Wednesday, December 6: Golden Apple Comics, Los Angeles, CA
Wednesday, December 6: Modern Myths, Northampton, MA
Thursday, December 7: New England Comics, Brockton, MA
Saturday, December 9: Things From Another World, Universal CityWalk, Studio City, CA
Wednesday, December 20: Meltdown Comics, Los Angeles, CA
Saturday, December 23: Outland Station, Miami, FL
Thursday, December 28: SuperHeroes Unlimited, North Miami Beach, FL
Saturday, December 30: Tate’s Comics, Ft. Lauderdale, FL
More dates to be added in New York, Las Vegas, and elsewhere.
Dang! There’s no listing for Kansas City or Denver, or I’d head over there. Maybe I’ll get lucky and Image will schedule a Planet Comicon signing (May 5 and 6, 2007).
Keep in mind Schwartz will be signing only at the California and Florida locations, while Wang will be signing in Massachusetts. The two creators will be signing together only once at the December 20th appearance at Meltdown Comics in LA – irony…gotta love it.
In a prepared press release David Schwartz said, “We’re really psyched that so many retailers have embraced Meltdown, and we can’t wait to get out there and meet all of the great comic book fans who’ve generated so much excitement and support for the book.”
I gave the debut issue a 5 Star Rating, and you can read the review here.
Both issues are 48 pages long and will be in prestige format.
