Did anyone pay really close attention to the set during last night’s “Big Bang Theory” of scenes set in the comic book shop? Obviously a lot of DC stuff is going to be around (CBS and Time/Warner have a lot of deals together), but last night there were a plethora of Dark Horse and Image comic properties around the set. What about Marvel? From what I could tell, there was nary a scrap. Is there a conspiracy afoot? Is someone not playing ball? Did someone fail to slip the money under the table? Discuss.

Check out the Karl Kerschl work that he posted on his website that features his portion of DC’s Wednesday Comics. Our Flash story features Barry Allen and Iris West – can’t get any more specific than that! Can not wait. I like his style and think this a Barry, Iris, Gorilla story could be very cool. via Karl Kerschl

Radical Publishing has sent Major Spoilers the cover images and solicitation information for titles shipping in July 2009.
Is it any surprise that H’wood is already working on a sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine? The movie more than paid for itself over the weekend, prompting 20th Century Fox to begin development on the story that will be set in Japan focusing on the samurai/Yakuza storyline. I think the biggest problem with this idea, is it’s a 20th Century Fox idea.  The best Marvel Comics movies that have come out in the last decade have been the movies produced and distributed through Marvel. I don’t know how much money 20th Century Fox would want in the deal, but Marvel…
Dynamite Entertainment has sent Major Spoilers a sneak peek of Army of Darkness #20, and The Boys #30 that arrive in stores this week.
Archaia, the publisher behind the popular Mouse Guard series, has announced it is resuming full time publishing beginning in June. “Our number one priority is to show our commitment to publishing by completing the great stories we have already begun to tell,†said Publisher Mark Smylie. In June, Archaia will release hardcovers of The Awakening and Some New Kind of Slaughter and has committed to put out at least two hardcover collected editions per month, thereafter, for the rest of the year. Making good on this promise, July will see the hardcover releases of The Engineer (which will be offered…
Fox has renewed Fringe for another 22-episode season. Interestingly, it is the number one new show among the demographic the show is targeted toward. “‘Fringe’ proved to be a notable addition to our schedule all season, and it really has fans buzzing as it builds to a fantastic season finale,” said Kevin Reilly, president of entertainment at Fox. “J.J. and the whole Bad Robot team have been phenomenal partners, and we look forward to years of making great television with them.” It was a slow burn getting into the show, and there were a couple of weeks early on, where…
For most of Battle for the Cowl, readers haven’t been privy to the actual gang warfare between Two-Face, the Penguin, and Black Mask. In The Underground, The Riddler and Catwoman get a first hand look at what is going on, and for Gotham it isn’t pretty. It may not even be pretty for those who pick up the issue.
This ought to be interesting… INCREDIBLE HERCULES #132 Written by FRED VAN LENTE & GREG PAK Penciled by REILLY BROWN Cover by RAFAEL ALBUQUERQUE At least the cover price is still $2.99, when the issue arrives in August via Marvel
