[Toys] Next wave of LEGO Minifigures to feature Disney characters

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherFebruary 29, 20161 Comment2 Mins Read

It leaked over the weekend, but now LEGO and Disney have confirmed the next wave of LEGO Minifigure blind bags will feature Disney characters.

The collection of 18 figures will include:

    • Mickey Mouse
    • Minnie Mouse
    • Donald Duck
    • Daisy Duck
    • Ariel
    • Ursula
    • Peter Pan
    • Captain Hook
    • Stitch
    • Alice
    • Cheshire Cat
    • Maleficent
    • Mr. Incredible
    • Syndrome
    • Aladdin
    • Genie
    • Buzz Lightyear
    • Pizza Planet Alien

Does anyone else find it weird that all of the characters have counterparts except Maleficent and Stitch? Maybe Alice is so generic that the companies thought a Sleeping Beauty figure would be redundant…

The tough part will be trying to catch them all without spending more than $50. Mickey, Minnie and Buzz Lightyear should be fairly easy to feel through the bag, but telling the difference between Peter Pan and Mr. Incredible is going to be a big harder. There are those who sell complete sets online, but again, the real challenge will be grabbing all of them for a reasonable price. If you want to make a good investment, buy two sets of these figures when they are released, open one for your own fun, and then in three years sell the set for upwards of $300.
