If you are still wondering if ‘you know who” is the Reverse-Flash in the Flash series from The CW, we now have a definitive confirmation.
WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!
During The CW presentation at the Television Critics Association press tour, cast and crew of Arrow and The Flash were on hand to answer questions, show off spots for upcoming episodes, and confirm that Harrison Wells, played by Tom Cavanagh) is The Reverse-Flash.
“I’ve tried to deflect and parry as best I could — yeah, sure. He’s the man in the yellow suit,” Cavanagh said of Wells. “I think the short answer to your question is, ‘Yes, I am Reverse-Flash,'” the actor continued, stating those five final words in a voice mimicking how the Reverse-Flash sounded on the show. When asked if any of the executive producers wanted to add to this, Andrew Kreisberg stated, “I think he’s doing a great job.”
“What that is is part of the big surprise in the back half of the year,” Kreisberg told IGN. “But it’s what makes writing him the most fun. He’s always put in a position of, ‘Is what I’m about to do or are my actions going to further my own agenda, or is it for the greater good and helping the city?’ So I think that’s why Tom has so much fun playing the character and why we have so much fun writing the character. Like he said, everything he does, there are two agendas, and making sure that everyone else’s agenda doesn’t override his own. That’s his chief job.”
But if you are concerned about the whole Eddie Thawne connection, Andrew Kreisberg said, “Rick Cosnett very amazingly plays Eddie Thawne. And his name is not an accident. That is going to pay off big time in the back half of the year.”
Well I’m certainly feeling a lot of emotions ranging from disappointment, to confused, and even excited to see if the creators have more up their sleeves than they are letting on. My multiverse theory fell away a long time ago, but the current Internet train of thought is that Dr. Wells IS Barry Allen. I’m still up on the air about that one…

I’m mostly intrigued. I’m a little sad that this means he’s not who I thought he was, but it does make me curious how this is going to play out. And it doesn’t mean that we won’t see who I thought he was at some eventual point in time, either.
My theory: there are 2 Reverse-Flash from two different times in the future
one is older and in a wheel chair
one is younger and taking Barry’s love
I think I’m a little disappointed because many of the episodes made me think, “Well… it can’t be the obvious guy, so who else could it be?” and then the answer is “actually, it is the obvious guy.”
However, I don’t think it will change my enjoyment of the series as a whole.
