A few days ago we got a six second super compact sneak peek of Wolverine thanks to James Mangold and Vine. This morning, we get to see the full trailer… and you can too, after the jump!
Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.
So what did you think?
The Wolverine arrives July 26, 2013.

I’m going to see it and that is saying something due to my dislike of the first Wolverine movie.
I am really not sure what to think of this. I’m not quite sure if it is going to be good or if Marvel is getting really good at turning out interesting trailers from crappy movies.
FWIW, this isn’t a Marvel movie per se. I believe the rights to the X-Men movie franchise are currently held 20th Century Fox. Like Spiderman is held by Sony Pictures.
Having said that, I agree that Fox has the worst overall track record with a Marvel franchise to date. Origins and United were both pretty tough movies to sit through. Though X2 and in particular, First Class, are solid films.
Toss Fantastic Four in there as well, and Fox looks even worse.
Good trailer. Definitely seems like a continuation of the soft reboot of the Wolverine franchise that kind of began with his cameo in First Class.
This trailer makes me cautiously hopeful for this movie, also is that supposed to be Husk, evil Husk?
Checked around the interwebs, it’s Viper.
Wolverine vs ninjas? SOLD!
