Remember that short passage in Snow White where the evil queen told the Huntsman to kill Snow White and bring back her heart in a box?  Yeah… good times, perfect for bedtime reading.

Check out the trailer for the Snow White and the Huntsman movie that gives us a different take on the Snow White story.

In a twist to the fairy tale, the Huntsman ordered to take Snow White into the woods to be killed winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen.

The movie stars Kristen Stewart (Twilight) as Snow White, Charlieze Theron (Hancock) as the Queen, and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) as The Huntsman.  The movie also has Ian McShane as… Caesar?

Snow White and the Huntsman opens June 01, 2012.

I don’t know what’s more mind-boggling to me – the fact that a movie is being made based on this seemingly ridiculous premise, or the fact that they’re really implying that Kristen Stewart is even in the same ballpark of attractiveness as Charlize Theron.

Charlize Theron is so much better looking than dull Kristen, they had loads of gorgeous girls to choose from and they picked the bland Twilight one – lame.

Less ridiculous that the whole Twilight premise. And less ridiculous than Disney’s animated garbage. As for the actress not being drop dead beautiful – I wouldn’t kick her out of bed for eating crackers.
