Press Release
They are a pair of some of the more admired young women in the entertainment industry today, and now singer Taylor Swift and actress Kristen Stewart share another common bond; both entertainers’ biography comic books hit the stands on Wednesday, August 25, 2010.
Fame: Taylor Swift, and Fame: Kristen Stewart, in stores and available at online venues on August 25th, are the latest additions to the successful line of Bluewater’s biography titles.
“Beyond their obvious talents, Swift and Stewart embody the very reason we created the Fame line of bio comics,” said Bluewater president Darren Davis. “Each has a uniquely compelling story and each has made a definitive imprint on current popular culture.”
The Swift biography follows the award-laden crossover singer superstar around Nashville trying to get her demo tape heard through her recent Grammy wins for her album Fearless. It also chronicles her unwavering commitment to pushing herself.
“Learning about Taylor’s life from the beginning until now made her feel like more than just the next big thing, it made me see the pop icon as a human being,” Said co-writer CW Cooke.”
Fame: Kristen Stewart, brings to life the actress’ instant celebrity with her star turn as the iconic Bella in “Twilight” movie series. However, the biography delves deeper into her career
“For Twilight fans, Kristen Stewart is a woman whom fans long to be and love to hate,” said writer Kim Sherman, who also penned Bluewater’s’ Robert Pattinson entry in the series “But Kristen has been in the public eye for years, and her career as a serious actor spans dozens of films over a 10-year period of time. My goal with this biography was to show readers the depth residing in this young woman and the roles she’s tackled.”
Both Fame titles are 32-page issues with art by Warren Martineck (Stewart) and Erick Adrian Marquez (Swift). Both offer multiple covers for collectors. The Stewart “A” cover by Juan Mar Studios attaches like a puzzle to the FAME: Robert Pattinson issue. Cover B is done by famed comic book artist Randy Green “X-men and Witchblade”. Juan Mar Studios also provides one of the Swift covers with the other illustrated by issue penciller Marquez.
Fame brings to life in graphic form the stories of the world’s biggest celebrities.
“We’ve found a niche with our bio comics,& said Davis. “Our success with this comics shows that there is a much wider audience for sequential storytelling than many thought. These readers are simply looking for something other than superheroes or horror. With our bio comics, we strive to bring these new readers evenhanded, well-researched looks at some of their favorite celebrities.”
Also coming out this week is the 2nd printings of “Fame: Robert Pattinson” and “Fame: Lady Gaga”. Both sold out in one week of being released. The new printings have different covers by the artists.
The comic book series has drawn considerable media attention, including features on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, “The View” and “Live with Regis and Kelly.” It has also been featured in such periodicals as People Magazine, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, USA Today and thousands of blogs and other media outlets.
The suggested retail price (SRP) for the upcoming comic book is $3.99. To make sure you get your copy, contact your local comic book store to pre-order it. To find a comic book store near you go to www.comicshoplocator.com. The comic will also be on Amazon.

I would pick this up if it was under Marvel’s MAX line.
Or maybe if it was a Zenescope title. Or wait, how old are they?
